The world of Tullamore is inhabited by many different races. The following Races are widespread and well known and generally available to player characters.
Angslovar (Forest Elf)
Carum-Natal (High Elf)
Half-Devergar, Elf, or Genomos
There are no “long lived” races in Tullamore. All of the different races are assumed to have a similar life span to that of humans. What was that about anyhow?
Races have racial maximums of 20 plus or minus the base racial ability bonus for the race. For example, the Devergar receive +2 Constitution and therefore the racial maximum for Constitution is 22. Since Devergar receive a –2 Charisma and the racial maximum for Charisma is 18.
Characters may speak any of the available humanoid languages. Unusual languages should be explained in the characters history. All beginning characters speak the language of the ethnic group with which they had the most contact. Terronic is the common tongue and characters should spend a skill point to ensure that they speak this language.
It is conceivable that a character learned an extremely unusual language like ogre, orc, goblin or troll. This is unlikely and must be plausibly explained and approved by the GM. The languages commonly available to characters are as follows:
Harigonza (Thieves Cant)
Latium (Old Tongue)
Vechi Limba (Satara)
Characters are not required to choose a class or profession. The professional templates are offered as guides for the players to help with character creation and are found on pg 43-44 of the W&W book. The following Professional Templates are available:
